NACDS Total Store Expo: Pharmacies are increasingly playing a critical role in driving interoperability in healthcare

The healthcare ecosystem is rapidly and continuously evolving, and as pharmacists take a larger role in managing the day-to-day care of patients, pharmacists need to stay on top of the latest developments in health IT, including the newest regulations and legislation.

This weekend Surescripts heads to San Diego for NACDS Total Store Expo, where industry leaders and influencers convene to make connections, share new products and learn about new solutions and technologies that benefit their stores and pharmacies.

On August 21, Surescripts and Epic are co-hosting an Insight Session to discuss how market developments are influencing interoperability in healthcare and the role of pharmacies as a “Hub of Personalized Care”. Attendees will learn about the impact the 21st Century Cures Act will have on security and interoperability, in addition to the latest technologies driving change in healthcare, including FHIR and Blockchain, and how these innovations improve interoperability.

Attendees can also join Surescripts on August 19 for a special session to learn how we leverage prescriptions to deliver actionable patient intelligence to pharmacies and the broader healthcare community at the point of care.

See below for more information on the sessions. The NACDS Total Store Expo runs August 19- 22, so be sure to stop by the Surescripts booth #1313 in the San Diego Convention Center.
